As he left the teletransportation room, Landau stole a glance of his failed retransmissions - a pile of mangled legs, all with identical orange pantaloons, in a corner. To him that always has seemed, and would seem, a waste.

The Plot

Exploring the space is not great. Not when you work for a giant-sized corporation. Isabel Vinola, Delphina Dainesi e Michæl Nygäard, members of one of the Beyond-the-Moon colonization teams, are co-opted by the prophet Jack Jesus to help on his mission: to spread a technology which can make society go awry.
